Dressing up your home

I know that most men complain about how many pillows are on the bed, but the details are what makes each of our homes unique and inviting. I love feathers and color! If I left the decorating up to my husband our home would be full of brown...BORING. So, when you are decorating your home, remember that what makes it looks so nice are all the little details. Don't be afraid to use items that you love.

It's my favorite time of the year!

I always work during the holiday season!  The reason is that there are a whole lot of people visting family, traveling to interesting places (Austin and the surrounding areas...*wink**wink*) and making moving decisions during this time of the year.  I always sell a lovely home, or sell a lot for a custom build and make great memories with tons of folks.  So if you happen to be one of those folks on a home buying mission during the months of November, December or January look at what else you can do around town.

Central Texas and Williamson County make another list

Just because I love it here doesn't make the best reason to live here, but Williamson county keeps popping up in the news as the best of the best.  This time it was for job growth.  Here is a great little article from the Community Impact Newspaper.

Here is the link to the original article from CNN Money.

On a side note, Austin City Limits is getting under way.  I am far too old to stand up for days and listen to all that great music, but for several years, I have found my saving grace.  The "local" radio station KGSR hosts live events daily during ACL.  This allows me to listen to great music from all over the world from the comfort of my car or stream it while I work.  So if you are a music lover I am providing the link below to get you plugged in.  Ben Howard was on earlier this morning and it made my day :)

Southern Living House coming to Austin once again!

I am a huge fan of Southern Living.  The magazine...the website...the lifestyle, etc.  The Austin area has been selected several times for a Southern Living Home!  It looks like this time it will be on Lake Travis.  See the article below.

The home before this was built in Horseshoe Bay and showcased in 2011.

The last one I went to was in Bee Cave in the Spanish Oaks neighborhood.

These homes are so fun to walk through for ideas and let you appreciate the hard work that brings all elements together.  If you live in the area or will be visiting, I encourage you to stop by.  We can all dream a little dream with a visit.

No bathtub only a shower space!
